Learn ”The Big Apple” with Cats’ Corner!

The Big Apple routine is one of the most iconic authentic jazz routines in the swing world, and one that every swing dancer should eventually learn. The version danced today was choreographed for the cinema by the legendary Frankie Manning, and can be seen in a famous clip from the 1939 movie ”Keep Punching”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfgKMfexdPQ

In this course, Ali will give you a little background on the dance, and teach you this crazy and captivating routine during five classes; it is going to be sweaty, intense, and fun! The course has no particular prerequisites or level requirement. However, it is recommended that you are at least familiar with the most basic jazz steps and preferably have some prior experience learning choreography. But don’t hesitate to try – it’ll be crazy and fun!
