Flamin’ Groovies (US) + secret guest!

After their successfull double appearance at Folk & Rock in 2016, Flamin’ Groovies will be back in Malmo ONE NITE ONLY !  The new album limited european LP release will be available JUST at the show.. So come early and enojy the party!

We will also host a special secret guest appearance + DJ Set before & after the shows by Otis Tours crew.

Having now toured the USA extensively in 2013 and 2014, including, repeated stops in NY, LA, and SF, as well as a tour of Australia, repeated visits to Tokyo, London, and a tour of the Midwest and Northeast that included both a featured appearance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Tribute to the Rolling Stones in Cleveland, and a big show in Brooklyn co-headlining with The Sonics,…..the FLAMIN’ GROOVIES have returned in full force.

The Cyril Jordan, Chris Wilson, George Alexander line-up that rocked the UK, Europe and the US from 1971 – 1980 got BACK IN ACTION by popular demand. With the addition of Victor Penalosa on drums, the band toured successfully Europe twice in 2015 & 2016 with shows in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Ireland & Scandinavia.

In 2017 The Groovies announce their new rhythm section: Chris von Sneidern (“CvS”) on bass guitar and Tony Sales on drums. CvS is a well-known San Francisco musician with several acclaimed albums, and was the subject of the documentary, Why Isn’t Chris von Sneidern Famous? (2009).  Tony is the son of Tony Sales and nephew of Hunt Sales (who together formed the famous rhythm section in David Bowie’s band, Tin Machine, and recorded and toured with Iggy Pop and Todd Rundgren, among others).

Flamin’ Groovies’ forthcoming tours, will take them to the East Coast in August, (their beloved) Europe in September, and the Midwest in October, in support of their soon-to-be-released new album “Fantastic Plastic” on the band’s own Sonic Kicks Records.
